Angelo came to this country in the late 1930’s, settling in New York. He has worked a lifetime making great pizza, first at pizza shops around the city and then at his own store, Pizza Chef, on Brooklyn’s Fulton Street. As time passed, Angelo lamented that there were only a handful of places left like his that made what he calls real pizza. “The crust has to be blackened and crisp! Only fresh mozzarella and tomatoes…!” he often exclaimed.

Angelo has passed on this genuine passion for pizza to the family’s next generations, as his children and nephews continue his tradition of excellent pizza making. Now, as his nephew John starts his own pizza restaurant, Angelo's, he pays homage to his uncle Angelo, who served as an pizza-making inspiration to them all.

Usually very good... Not this time... Pizza arrived very very very salty and ice cold. Ordered around 7:00 PM on Sunday night - Arrived about 50 minutes later. I guess this is a time to stay away from. Usually Angelo's (AKA Patsey's) is worth the extra cost! Not tonight... Tonight I feel 100% ripped off - sorry........

Absolutely overrated. I ordered a pasta. The dish was so small it would have been an appetizer in any other restaurant. They messed up the order and did not offer to redeliver or do anything to fix their mess up. Will never order from here again. P.S. I hope you like oil because every strand was lined with it.

Food is decent but the restaurant would not let me substitute any kind of vegetable for pasta. I ended up canceling my order. This does not make good business sense.

After ordering a pickup order from this restaurant, I arrived at the time on my receipt to pick up and was told that they had called me, spoken with me, and that it would be an additional 45 minutes. Not only was the call (which would have been directly to me) never placed, but the staff was extremely rude throughout the process and additionally attempted to blame their errors on the systems of seamless. Overall, this is far and away the worst experience I have had with any restaurant listing on seamless.

Truly terrific pizza.

Ordered pasta. Once I started eating I started finding bits of brown paper in my food, apparently from a brown paper delivery bag. Called to complain and was told rudely that "wasn't possible" and they would not send a replacement. Embarrassingly bad customer service.

In order I had garlic, but was it on top of the pizza? No.. Anyway.. pizza was pretty average, not bad at all...

Great pizza and good salads. The calamari and zuchinni/eggplant are also quite good.

My wife and I have been ordering Angelos for a few years now and it remains one of the most consistent restaurants in the neighborhood. Their pizza is thin crust and always seems fresh and their pasta dishes have found their way in to a regular order for us. Penne all grecca and Fettucine Carbonara are our favorites and neither will disappoint. Even the bread is delicious!!

All I can say is delicious. Very good pizza and good pasta too!

Quick delivery. Pizza is top 10 in NYC. Pasta is above average. On the expensive side for delivery.

Good Pizza. Terrible delivery and business management.

One of my favorite pizza places, the pizza crust and fresh cheese really make for a great pie. The penne a la vodka and spaghetti and meatballs are fantastic pasta dishes

Delicious pizza, can be a tad pricey. Pepperoni pizza is amazing.

I've ordered from here and also eaten at the restaurant many times - always solid.

1 full hr delivery time & pizza arrived with wrong toppings. BTW - I live 3 blocks from Angelos and I called after the lunch rush. I call and get put on hold, then transferred to 3 different ppl, then hung up on. Correct pizza arrives 30 secs after I am hung up on and its cold. How is that possible? Worst meal ever! This is the 3rd time its happened. Thought I'd give them a 2nd and 3rd shot but they can't seem to get the basic concept of food delivery down. I will not be ordering from them again. EVER!

Great thin crust pizza, I have never had a problem with the order

I never received my order. I waited an hour (it should have been here in 35-45 min), then I called. They said someone came, but there was no apartment with our number. Many people have delivered to us before so I'm pretty sure our apartment number is quite visible on the buzzer board. I just cancelled the order.

Waiting over 1.5 hours for the food. Called 3 times. Last time I called "the food is ready but the delivery guy is not here yet". That sounds very promising... Will not order here ever again and should have taken the other one star reviews serious.

Angelo's is consistently good, but they stopped delivering their delicious Gelato, so I don't order as often. Still have a great small Pizza

I've been waiting over an hour for my pizza now....I'm really getting hungry! Don't order from these jokers if you are in a hurry! Their estimated times are way off.

Top-quality neapolitan-style pizza. Also be sure to try the grilled chicken caesar salad too.

We love the pizza at this place! Local favorite.

Absolutely do not order pasta from this restaurant, the portions are ridiculously small but also overly expensive. I ordered a penne ala vodka dish for $15 and it came with about 15 noodles. Even for manhattan, I think $1 for each piece of penne is a little pricey.

Great food and lousy delivery person. With two huge bags of food and 5 pizzas he left them in the lobby and refused to help carry them upstairs.

Large Sicilian Salad is full of old, limp lettuce, 10-12 capers, canned artichoke hearts, very little dressing and was a big disappointment because the pizza's from there always good.

We were very unsatisified with this restaurant. The pizza dough wasn't tossed correctly. Parts were too thick and parts were too thin. The flavor was OK, but didn't make up for the crust. We also ordered the antipasta and it was terrible.

great food, fresh, best soups ever, my son love it

Delivery is always under the estimated time. Always delicious. One negative, is when you order more than one topping, they put less of each topping compared to if you ordered just that one topping alone. In the past, you would also get paper plates and condiments on the side for free without asking.
